This was a very sad day, February 11th, 2011. One year since Alexander McQueen took his own life.
To this day, I still feel that something is missing from the world of fashion and an important source of my inspiration has been lost.
My dear friend and I took some flowers to leave outside the boutique in the Meatpacking District and reminisce on some of our favorite shows and creations.

This shows a detail of a clean bisected skull with its simple label “II Papa.” The doctor, Domenico Gualandie, had cut the skull to determine the source of his patient’s madness.
